getting ACPI Wakeup working

| No Comments | No TrackBacks
Greg told me that his box automatically wakes up to do recordings. I wanted that to, so I found
http://www.mythtv.org/wiki/ACPI_Wakeup

I had to alter my puppet manifests to create a /usr/local/bin/setupwakeup.sh script like:
#!/bin/sh
#$1 is the first argument to the script. It is the time in seconds since 1970
#this is defined in mythtv-setup with the time_t argument

echo 0 > /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm      #this clears your alarm.
echo $1 > /sys/class/rtc/rtc0/wakealarm     #this writes your alarm

I haven't test it yet, so I don't know if it works. But all the messages from th ekernel about the rtc module tally with the ACPI pages on the wiki, so it should work.
